In Memory of Our Dear Friend and Chief Operating Officer Michael Sellars

We are shocked to tell you that Michael Sellars has passed on July 16, 2025. He had a short but severe hospital stay but sadly couldn’t win the fight. Mike was one of the greatest human beings with the biggest heart we all knew! He will be dearly missed.

Michael Sellars graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelors Degree in Radio, Television, and Film, and became the buyer for movies and music at The Federated Group. Mr. Sellars went on to become a sales executive at Baker and Taylor, Inc, managing over 150 accounts in California and Hawaii.

He became Executive Director of Sales at Artisan Pictures and later Lionsgate Films, managing packaged film at Wal-Mart Stores, Target, Best Buy, and many other key accounts.

He has been part of the team that has marketed such properties as the Saw franchise, the Tyler Perry franchise, Crash (Academy Award for Best Picture), the Rambo series, Terminator 2, Total Recall, Dirty Dancing, the Blair Witch Project, National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Reservoir Dogs, Crank, Kick Ass, the Expendables, The Next Three Days, Lincoln Lawyer and the television series Mad Men and Weeds. He has also worked on the libraries of LIVE/Vestron, Hallmark Hall of Fame, the Discovery Channel, and Republic Pictures.
